The year this painting was made is not clear, it was at some point between 1912 and 1931. Robert Delaunay (French) very personally gathers the currents of lyrical abstraction, impressionism, and cubism, constructing this: one of the most important works of his career. The fusion of styles presented in the canvas signifies the beginning of the French awakening to abstract art.
